Short version: FilmyChill sets no cookies, shows no ads, and builds no profile of you. You can read every page without anything about you being stored. The only personal data the site ever handles is a vote you choose to cast — and that is tied to a random ID, not to your name, email or account.

FilmyChill (filmychill.com) is an independent site run by Vikram Sharma, India. It is responsible for the data described on this page.
Page counts. We count page views with GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly counter: no cookies, no tracking across sites, and no personal data stored. It records things like which page was viewed, the referring site, browser type, screen size and country (worked out from the connection and then discarded). On the homepage it also counts which section and position a film was opened from — for example “the third card in Streaming” — so we can improve the lists. None of this identifies you.
Hosting. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub's servers may log technical details of each request (such as the IP address) for security and reliability; that is handled under GitHub's privacy statement, and FilmyChill does not receive or use those logs.
Images and trailers. Film posters load from TMDB's image servers (image.tmdb.org). Trailers are embedded with YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and only load when you play one; once you do, YouTube's own policies apply.
Some features remember things on your device only, using your browser's local storage (not cookies): your My List, the language filter you picked, films you've already seen marked as new, and — if you vote — which way you voted. Nothing here is sent to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it.
Film pages ask “Watched it? Was it worth it?”. Only if you tap an answer:
Why: to count how many people found each film worth watching, so visitors' verdicts can become part of the FilmyChill Score. Votes are only ever used as totals per film; we never look at, sell or share individual votes. Who handles it: Google (Firebase) stores the records on our behalf, in Google's Mumbai (India) data centre; as with any online service, Google may process technical data such as your IP address to provide it, under Firebase's privacy terms. How long: vote records are kept while the film's score is in use; totals may be kept indefinitely.
Removing it: clear this site's data in your browser. That deletes the anonymous ID, after which your past votes can no longer be linked to you or your device by anyone, including us.
Depending on where you live (for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act or the EU's GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data and to complain to a data protection authority. Because FilmyChill holds no name, email or account for anyone, the practical way to exercise these rights is the one above: clearing this site's data in your browser removes everything that could connect a vote to you. A contact address for privacy questions will be added to this page.
FilmyChill is a general-audience site and does not knowingly collect data from children. Voting is optional and anonymous.
If what the site collects ever changes, this page changes first, with a new “last updated” date.
